There are functions which enable to scroll automatically the ctedit to let a
selection be in the displayed area.

See for example {ctedit}:scroll-to-selection, which is used in the anim
function (posted to the Centaur list on Tue, 04 May 93).

A selection path may be obtained from a modif path using
{path}:show-modif-on-new.
