Initialisation of the integration
The user chooses one of the endpoints of the structure here in the bottom,
right-hand part of the image. An over-set may be enough. Integration of the
potential will start from that region.
We then calculate the potential for each of the possible neighbouring
configurations. The potential for one configuration is shown below.
