The Varimax rotation
Factors of the Q-mode factor analysis respect those constraints :
- The first axe is determined by the maximum associated variance,
- the second axe has to be orthogonal to the first one,
- and so on.
With the Varimax rotation,
- the projection of the variables are located at the extremities of the factors,
- the interpretation of the factors is easier in terms of variable (or TM channels).
