My main research contributions are in the area of remote-sensing
image processing and recognition. In particular, my interests
include :
- neural networks for classification
purposes
- partially supervised updating of land-cover
maps
- supervised and unsupervised change
detection techniques
- texture segmentation
In the Ariana project, I work to the modelling of the unimodal
and multimodal statistics of adaptive wavelet packet coefficients.
We use a Bayesian methodology, finding MAP estimates for the
adaptive basis, for subband model selection, and for subband
model parameters. This approach allows us to accurately model
and discriminate texture. |
