My work consists in extending some image processing algorithms for scalar images to multi-valued images. This study is based on variational formulations.
I'm particularly interested in the denoising model of Rudin-Osher-Fatemi, and in the decomposition model (Geometry+Texture) of Y. Meyer.
The main issues in this work is to generalize the definition of a BV space to characterize geometry, and the definition of Meyer's G space to characterize textures. Then we will have to find convergent and fast algorithms to solve these problems.
