I am interested in ways of detecting forest fires on high resolution satellite images. A visual study of BIRD satellite image shows the radiometrical information is insufficient in order to caracterize the burning areas. So, the aim is to carry out a textural analysis in stochastic surroundings in particular with the use of cooccurence matrix or statistic parameters like variance or correlation coefficients. That study is competed by a markov modelisation of the image.
