About the World Cave Database
My work on this database started from separate lists that Bob Gulden's posted on the cavers mailist, during fall 1994. It has evolved rather quickly after that, following annoucements on the internet, and various publications.It is now implemented as a searchable database, from which various versions can be extracted automatically, varying on the ordering of entries (by depth or by length), and on a number of filters applicable to select subsets of the whole list. For example, one can extract all french caves deeper than 1000m, and so on.
There should be in some near future a direct WWW access to the database search functions.
